Web Development, Chrome
I was googling around the other day, when I found this Google Product Forums post:
What I'd love to see is an option to send a currently open tab to it's own app mode window.
For example, I catch up on shows I've missed while working, and generally I go find the stream, cp the url, [ALT+F2] google-chrome --app= and paste in the url to get a window I can fit into my desktop somewhere and go back to work .
It would be great if all I needed to do was right-click the tab I found it in, and select "Move to App-mode" or something similar.SlingShotSuicide
With a useless boilerplate reply from a Google “expert”:
Thanks for taking a moment to stop by the Chrome forum today to ask your question and in turn, share your idea. I do not believe this has been implemented, but I am happy to receive your feedback and I thank you for your time.KaileyK
Well, this seems like the sort of thing I can make into a chrome extension. So I did. It's called PopTab. And it only takes up 27kb. If only SlingShotSuicide were here to see it…
